Oscar’s love for his daughter, Alessandra, extended to her beloved pug, Mu Shu. In that spirit, donations to Pug Rescue of Northern California help provide veterinary care, foster homes, and loving adoptive families for pugs in need.
UCSF — Dr. Aaron Logan Research Fund
Dr. Aaron Logan was Oscar’s primary doctor during his cancer treatment. In gratitude for his care, donations to this fund support Dr. Logan and UCSF’s Leukemia Program as they pursue research and more effective treatments for people with blood cancers.
Unión de Veteranos de Basquetbol del Uruguay
Oscar continued playing competitive basketball well into his 50s, traveling internationally to represent Uruguay in Maxibasketball tournaments. The Unión de Veteranos brings players together to continue enjoying the sport—a fitting way to honor his love of the game and his enduring connection to his homeland.
